Dee Poisson is a Central Alberta artist who works to capture the essence of her world with paint or drawing media. Dee’s focus is to understand and appreciate a moment in time and to tell that story through her artwork. Dee strives to capture a glimpse of the ephemeral beauty of nature through vibrant colour, interesting shapes, and familiar subjects.

The coloured pencil images that are created by Dee Poisson are incredibly detailed and planned. The amount of detail in her works of art are possible because of her knowledge of the subject matter and experience with the media.

Dee finds inspiration in familiar gardens and wild plant habitat where she spends hours. Flowers, vegetables and wild berries have become subject matter often shared in artwork by Dee Poisson.
